Why openSDX?

With an ever-growing number of different metadata specifications, the digital media ecosphere calls for a common, free, and really good data exchange system - against monopolistic tendencies and sneaky ways to limit access to the market!

The state-of-the-art (and ahead!) openSDX answers this growing demand by being published under the LGPL OpenSource license, ensuring the widest dispersion possible while at the same time being continuously enhanced by a worldwide community of contributing devoted professionals.

In a truly independent spirit and contrary to proprietary standards such as DDEX, openSDX is accessible for everyone and can be used for free.
